Privacy Policy
Last updated: 5 October 2026
Beadary (“we”, “our”, “us”) publishes this policy to explain what happens to information when you visit https://beadary.com (the “Site”). Questions: contact@beadary.com.
The short version
There are no accounts on this Site, so we never ask for your name. Images you open in the pattern maker are processed in your browser and never reach us. What remains is feedback you choose to send, ordinary web traffic — analytics we run only if you accept cookies — and server logs our host keeps for us.
Your images stay on your device
The bead pattern maker does all of its work — resizing, quantisation, dithering, colour matching, export — locally in your browser using HTML Canvas. There is no upload step and no server round-trip. When you close the tab, the image is gone from our side too, because it was never on our side. The same is true of the colour matchers on every chart page.
Information we collect
- Analytics — Google Analytics 4 records aggregate usage: pages viewed, approximate country, device type and referrer. It sets cookies to distinguish visitors and may process your IP address and device information on Google’s servers. We only ever see aggregate reports.
- Session recordings — Microsoft Clarity records how pages are used: clicks, taps, scrolling and mouse movement, which we view as heatmaps and session replays to find confusing parts of the tools. Clarity runs only after you accept cookies; until then it is not loaded at all. Images you open in the tools are never sent to Clarity or to us.
- Server logs — the Site runs on Cloudflare, which records standard request data on our behalf: IP address, user agent and request timestamps. These are used for delivering the Site, security and abuse prevention. We do not build profiles from them.
- Feedback you send — the pattern maker occasionally asks how it is working. If you answer, we store your rating, any category or message you add, your email address only if you choose to give it, the page you were on, your approximate country, and technical details of the pattern (palette, size, number of colours, phone or desktop). Your image is never included. Feedback is stored in a Cloudflare database and read only by us to improve the Site; an email address is used only to reply to you. Ask us at any time to delete what you sent.
- Local storage — the tools save small preferences and in-progress state (for example your language choice, Artkal inventory selections and chart view settings) in your browser’s localStorage. This never leaves your device and is not readable by us.
We collect nothing else. There is no newsletter and no account system, so there is no database of users to be breached — only the feedback described above.
Cookies
On your first visit a banner asks whether you accept analytics cookies. Nothing below sets a cookie until you click Accept, and you can change your choice at any time with the Cookies link in the footer.
- Google Analytics — sets cookies only after you accept. If you decline, Google Consent Mode sends cookieless, anonymous pings with no identifier. You can also opt out with the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on. Advertising features — ad personalisation and ad user-data sharing — are disabled in our configuration.
- Microsoft Clarity — loads and sets cookies only after you accept. Declining later clears its cookies and stops recording.
- We set no cookies of our own; your choice itself is remembered in localStorage. Blocking cookies entirely leaves every part of the Site working.
Advertising
We do not serve ads on this Site today. If that changes we will update this policy and the cookie banner first, before any advertising cookie is set.
Who processes data for us
We do not sell, rent or trade personal information. Three third parties process limited data on our behalf:
- Cloudflare — hosting (Workers), CDN, static asset storage (R2, used to serve the palette JSON files the tools read), and the database (D1) that holds feedback you send. Cloudflare processes your IP address and request metadata to deliver the Site. See Cloudflare’s privacy policy.
- Google — Google Analytics 4 only. See the Google Privacy Policy.
- Microsoft — Microsoft Clarity only, and only after you accept cookies. See the Microsoft Privacy Statement.
There are no other processors, no advertising networks, no CRM, and no email marketing platform.
Your rights
Depending on where you live you may have rights to access, correct, export or delete personal data held about you. In practice, because we run no accounts:
- Most data about your visit lives in your own browser. Clearing site data and cookies removes all of it.
- Analytics data and session recordings are not linked to a name, email or any identity we hold, so there is no personal record for us to look up or delete.
- Feedback you sent can be deleted on request; tell us roughly when you sent it, or the email address you included.
- Cloudflare’s server logs are short-lived and held by Cloudflare as our processor.
If you still want to ask what we hold about you, email contact@beadary.com and you will get a plain answer.
Children
Beadary is a craft reference used by all ages and does not knowingly collect personal information from children. There is no sign-up and no profile; the only personal detail the Site accepts is the optional email address in the feedback form, which children should leave blank. If a child has sent us one, email us and we will delete it.
Changes to this policy
This policy may be updated. The “Last updated” date above changes when it does, and the version published on this page is always the current one. Material changes — a new category of data, a new third party, or the introduction of advertising — will be reflected here before they take effect.
